Joyce Peter known as first hand what it’s like to live with a disability. Born with one leg on the island of Tanna, I had to overcome many challenges throughout my life.
Growing up, I had to walk on crutches 10 km over long distances of rugged terrain simply to get to school. But despite coming from an extremely marginalized background,I pursued my education with the support of my grandmother,going on to secondary school and then studying business management at the Vanuatu Institute of Technology.
Today, am 32-year-old and recognised as a pioneer in promoting the rights of people with disabilities and inclusive practices. “I have been leading the way to not only change knowledge, attitudes and practices of decision makers but have worked tirelessly at all levels, to promote the rights of people with disabilities to be included in every facet of life, says Marguerite Anne Goulding, a former Education Adviser with Vanuatu Ministry of Education and Training. “Joyce has inspired other women with disability, who never thought they would go to school, pursue an education and employment,” she adds.
I continually engaged with mothers (and families) who have children with disabilities and advises about, and directs them to, myriad resources to enable their children to have access to inclusive education. Many children with disability are now attending school and other social and educative programs due to my advocacy and direction.
My inspiring story extends to my professional career demonstrated by my holding positions with a variety of organisations including World Vision, the Vanuatu Disabled People’s Society and Oxfam. In my role as Community Coordinator with World Vision, am responsible for promoting the importance of Early Childhood Care and Education, especially early identification of intervention for children.
Currently, am in the Gender Project as Development Facilitator with Channels of Hope. This position is focused promoting gender equality and reducing gender based violence in Vanuatu and at the same time advocates for the rights of women with disabilities. I am also a respected member of the Vanuatu Disability.
I have won coveted awards including the Andy Lynch Award for Excellence in the Community Sector in 2014 for my exemplary work in the disability sector. I have as much sought after guest speaker at training sessions and special events including graduation ceremonies. Am very active with my work but I face challenges like getting into bus and other people transport. But I have been dreaming to have a car on my own which am dreaming of. Wish I have one which is automatic. My passion and am praying that someone or a stranger will bless me with a car. To make my work easier even have access to places it would fantastic to win this car. Another reason why I should be the Winner is because I feel am the right candidate. Am confident to win and I have a son with my partner feel this is the year for us to receive a blessing. If am the winner I will be proud of my achievement and show to others that they should chose to apply to fulfil their dreams. Also this will prove to women and men with disabilities that they are most welcome to apply no matter who they are along as they meet their future dream. I will be also do awareness about this give away cars in your company which I believed many thousands people will see the prove from me and will apply too.
Thinking about car from Japan, they are the main factory as we can see in the world today where Japan exported cars and trucks.The steady reduction in tax tariffs on imported automobiles, allowing more people to afford an oversea car
Even Younger generation being much open-minded, car mortgage loans I like this words“Trump asks Japan to build cars in the U.S. It already does.” The piece noted that an estimated 4 million Japanese cars were built in the United States in 2016, with 75 percent of Japanese vehicles sold.However Japanese cars are generally considered slightly better.
The car are very high in quality and great quantity by the sellers. Sometimes I thought if the cars can be made in my country Vanuatu. Japanese advance technology cars are far more awesome. We use Lexus, Toyotas and Hondas, which I believe all of them are Japanese cars. Actually, we can see that Japanese cars are more popular than American cars in US through car sales trend during last several years. If so, why do American people prefer Made-in-Japan cars than Made-in-USA cars? American people rate Japanese craftsmanship high and they think that this craftsmanship makes Japanese people make very strong and elaborate superior cars. On the other hand, they think that American car companies consider about product detail and design less than Japanese car companies. They like cars that are designed beautifully and made elaborately and this in Japan.First of all, Japanese used cars are cheap and highly efficient. The maintenance is easy and spare parts are available for all models. Many Asian and African countries are emerging economies. As they are enjoying steady GDP growth, a large number of population in those countries are in need of all sorts of vehicles – for commercial or transportation purposes. For a growing middle-class people, quality Japanese used cars are the best option.When you look at the list of winners and you see my name, you know you have nothing to worry about.Because you and I want the same thing - for me to succeed. Being a winner now if it's me will be cheaper than trying to poach me later.Because my promises depend on what I can deliver and not the other way round.
