Hello Carfromjapan,
I think I should be a winner simple because the car I now have has broken down several times in the middle of the road and left me stranded and embarrassed. There are times when it can't even start due to engine problems. I have taken it to the mechanic shop on more than one occasion to be presented with the same problem a day or two later. The last time as I was turning a corner, the front end with the right tire fell off in the middle on the road. I had to get out and push it which was to no avail. Other cars passed by and didn't even stop to help. It was a guy on his bicycle who came to help me. The car had to be lifted onto a truck in order to get to the garage where it stayed for days afterwards because I couldn't afford a new front end. The mechanic eventually decided to get scrap metal to weld it together. At the moment I can't drive more than 15 miles per hour because of fear that it will break off again as the mechanic told me that the fix was only temporary. When I'm driving at that speed, if someone comes up behind me, I would simply turn on my hazard light or pull off the road to allow them to pass. The windshield also has a crack from one end to another which was as a result of the last hurricane that affected our islands. The trunk of the car can't shut because the latch is damaged. I tape it up so it won't open as I drive but unfortunately I have to pull off the road from time to time to close it. The tires on the car are all worn out and I have to be patching them frequently. The car has numerous sounds underneath it as I drive and the roads here are very bad, so the sounds are very loud especially if I drop in a pot hole; they are very hard to avoid as they are all over the road. A new car at the moment would be genuinely appreciated as I am not in the position to buy one at the moment. I have always been fascinated with Japanese cars because of their Eco friendliness and fuel efficiency. One of your cars would be a real blessing to me just about now. If I am allowing this message of mine to be published, it simply means I have cast pride out the window and hope that someone will see how indeed I am and be willing to help me.
