Why should Car from Japan pick me as a winner? Well you should pick me as it would make my whole entire year, I have had many troubles during the last five years, I have became homeless three times, with no help from the local authorities, so I had to live basically on the streets with my two children and disabled husband, I lost my home, I lost all my cars and all my possessions, I lost my job, now, I work for a massive cut in wages, my husband can not work, meaning I have to work as many hours my employer will allow me. I have to pay all the bills on just one wage, I have to deal with hospital appointments for my disabled husband and one of my disabled daughters, both on opposite sides of the country, and all using a very old, somewhat unreliable car, I can no longer afford to buy a new car, as well as the garage costs to maintain any big jobs which the car may need, everything has to be done on a budget, and when things do go wrong, me and my husband has to try and carry on as much as we can before the whole car gives out, as we can not afford to splash out on vital expenses to fix the car at such short notice. My family has suffered for the last five years, not only because we were made homeless three times, but because I could not afford the housing we were staying, first time we were made homeless, local child services had gotten a false tip that my children were being abused, it had gotten to the point were child services were about to physical drag my children away from me and my husbands arms, we ran, we left everything, our home had to be sold to find for our new life in a safe area, all our cars had to be sold as we had no where to park them, and all for a fraction of it’s worth, as the interested purchasers are frugal and wanting to buy dirt cheap, me and my husband had no choice, they had to go, it didn’t matter how much they were sold for, all that mattered was our children’s safety. My childrens attitude was never the same, they were both crying when they had to start full tine nursery an primary school, a lot of behavioural issues, loads and loads of visits to specialists which was a struggle with very limited transport.
I got a permanent full time job a couple of months after, I thought things were going to look up, but then my employer did not want the positions that I was employed as. I was forced in to another employment with a big pay cut or lose my job, I had no choice, I had to take the pay cut, but doing so, I could no longer afford the housing I was staying at, the landlord showed no sympathy, if we could not afford the rent, we had to give notice and leave, the local authorities said me and my husband made ourselves homeless, but I could not help it, with a huge pay cut, I had to cut in a lot of expenses, I had to cut down on our groceries, my contract lense subscription had to be cancelled, I had to find an old pair of glasses for me to see, had to sell my rubbish car and get an even more worse car.
About 2 years go by, still scrimmaging by, the announcement comes, my employment was to be made redundant, it was the worst news of my life, it had taken me years to gain permanent employment, I had only three months left of employment, I was seeking new employment since the announcement, but I had gotten rejection letters after letters, I had lost my job, could not afford my housing again, my family was not a priority for homeless housing, but we did manage to get a new place, but in an undesired place, one month after the redundancy, I was offered a job, not the job I was wanting, but as I needed income for housing, I had to take it, and with a huge pay cut from the last employment.
I am still in my lates employment, but my employer has cut a lot of my hours, I am struggling to afford housing due to the travel costs, so me and the husband has decided to cut on our heating instead, as we do not use the gas much, and to get hot water, we use a kettle or the electric shower. But on a night, me, my husband and two children stay in one room to keep warm.
We do these things to survive, I do everything to help ease the burden of another threat of homelessness. I do everything to keep my family healthy and happy.
So if you do pick me as a winner, I would be over the moon, I would keep my prize, treasure it, it is not like I get a lot of things in a competition, if you pick anyone else, they would not appreciate your gesture, they would probably not keep the prize, they would probably sell the prize to gain as much money as they can, to me, a prize is more than just a prize, a prize is a generous gesture that will bring hope, that people as nice as car from Japan, to help people who are in need, help people who can no longer afford nice things, and to help all the people have hope, hope that this could be the day everything will be great, on a up hill journey from now on.
I just need just a little of hope, just so I know that the world is not a very bad place to live.
