Dear Lan,
My name is Somaya, I live in Cape Town, SA. I would love to be the winner of the car as it will have a major impact on my life,as well as my sons. It would be life-changing for both of us. I have been through a very difficult few years and struggling to survive financially, especially as a single parent trying to make ends meet. I got divorced, I went through a very emotional and challenging time, I was not working for almost a year, I lost my home as a result. I then started a new job after almost a year. I decided to work late one winter evening, I will never forget, I remember like it was yesterday. As I pulled up in my driveway, I was hi-jacked by 2 men that held a gun to me head, and the other a knife to my neck. They forced me out of my car and sped off. The police has still not found my car up till today. It was a very traumatising experience, I suffered emotionally and psychologically that I had to go for counselling, it is something I don't think that I will get over easily, today I am still suffering. I have been without a car for almost 3 years now and it has ruined my life completely. I now must wake up at the crack of dawn to get a bus to work and get home when it is dark. To make matters worse, I had to make a very big, heart-breaking decision, it crushed me totally, up till this day it still does. I had to let my son go live permanently with his father as I am not able to take him to school, neither fetch him, as I have no car. I only see him every 2 weekends of the month. Winning this car will be the most incredible thing that could happen to me. I will regain my independence , my son will be able to live with me again, and I will be able to drive myself to work everyday, and life will be so much more easier.
