If Japanese people really wanted to buy American cars they would. Japanese cars are just so user friendly and reliable. I used to be in to Ameican cars a lot in my mechanic and hot rod days, but once I started driving Japanese cars, I would not change. If BMW, Mercedes, Peugot, Mini, Vokswagen can sell their cars in Japan then there is no reason why they can't sell USA cars as long as there is a market for them.
