ByJohn Kelly-November 28, 2023

More than half of Americans drive 50 miles or more during Spring Break and summer vacation. People in other parts of the world also like to go for long trips during this time. With these traveling plans in mind, you should look for cars with longest range to make your next trip hassle-free.

Top 8 Cars With Longest Range In 2023

True longest range cars should not only have an extensive operating range but also good road performance and passenger comfort.

So, this list of long-range vehicles can cross mile after mile on a single fuel tank along with providing spacious accommodation for at least four adult passengers and generous cargo capacity.

Here we’ve compiled a list of 8 vehicles offering some of the best ranges when it comes to long road trips.

1# 2020 Ram 1500

Many of you might not have predicted Ram 1500 to be the top pick, but this pickup truck has earned this spot with the power of going hundreds of miles on a single tank.

The 2020 Ram 1500 comes with three different fuel tank capacities. A 23-gallon tank is standard for the Quad cab model while it’s a 26-gallon tank for the Crew Cab model. You can upgrade the capacity to 33 gallons.

So, you can easily calculate the actual range by multiplying the tank capacity with the mileage. Remember that the diesel versions have better mileage than the gas-run models.

The Camry Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine with an Atkinson cycle, an 88-kw electric motor, and a 1.6-kwh battery pack. The entire system output is 206 horsepower, or 153 kw in modern money.

This power is routed through an electronically controlled two-motor hybrid system that serves as a replacement for the transmission.

It’s set to keep the Camry Hybrid in the sweet spot for efficiency, accidentally training drivers to use the right foot sparingly.

  1. Why does your car’s range deplete so quickly?

Incorrect tire pressure and/or poor alignment-tires that are underinflated or out of alignment can reduce fuel economy.

Use of air conditioner when not necessary-will also have a significant impact on the car’s mileage and range; so remember to turn off the AC or defrost when not in use.

  1. Can electric vehicles travel 500 miles?

All-electric cars, also known as battery electric vehicles (BEVs), are powered solely by an electric charge from a rechargeable battery and require no external fuel source. The average driving range is between 250 and 500 miles.
