7 Fake Exhaust Pipes That Make Expensive Cars Look Cheap
Aesthetically, every component of the car must look genuine when it comes to analyzing car’s design. Tailpipe, being one such component at the back of the car is something that needs to be taken care of when designing the one.
However, to cover up certain technical drawbacks like a small engine, the manufacturers are actually playing with the innovative designs of the component. All this is done in order to grab the attention of the customers.
And, some of the ways can be found obviously with, the exhaust pipes that otherwise are nothing but just fake exhaust pipes.

1. Mercedes C-Class
All the models that are covered under C-class category of Mercedes actually have “Float” type exhausts. These are nothing but just a fake design of exhaust pipes. Actually, these are entirely blocked and have no gases flowing through them on some of the diesel’s model. To know about the rear exhaust pipes, they lie just below the car, which otherwise is not visible.
2. Mercedes-AMG GT
The trapezoidal trimmed exhaust pipes at the back of this car are quite fake. With the two exits at the corner of the Mercedes-AMG GT’s back is something, which could be designed better.
3. Skoda Octavia vRS
Earlier generations of Octavia has a simple-designed exhaust system with two exits connected to a single back-box. However, in the recent models, the transformed design hides the back-box behind the trim only at one side of the car, which can be termed as the worse transformation or fake exhaust pipes in Skoda models.
4. Ferrari California
The round-shaped exhaust is quite smaller than the fake suggested tips, which is a shame because in the world of supercars bigger is always better. Clearly and sadly, the pre-turbocharged California model is a blunder with it.

5. Lexus IS-F
This one’s quite upsetting, as Lexus IS-F has pipes stacked diagonally, which are connected to the back-box. These pipes are nothing but a show-off component in the car, with no use at all, unlike RC-F.
6. Audi RS 6
RS modeled Audi’s have a tradition to design the exhaust system at the rear end of the car in oval-shape. This design is quite poor because if looked closely then, one can notice that these are just the heat shields hiding the small four pipes.
7. Audi R8
Like V8 model, the exhaust system is quite similar to the V10 R8 model.
In V8 model, the two exhaust pipes are fitted into two round-shaped trimmed bumpers on each side of the car. However, in V10 model, these round trimmed bumpers have been replaced by a single oval-shape on each side of the car. Surprisingly, no changes are made on the set of regular pipes, otherwise.
To wrap it up like these fake exhaust pipes, there are many other violations against the exhaust pipe’s fashion and maintenance, which needs to be taken care of. In fact, these fake designs should not entice you while purchasing one of the branded cars. As, at the end of the day, these fake designs can actually tear your pocket.
