What is a MAP Sensor?

    • The Map sensor has to be the correct one for your car, if you get the wrong one it will not fit/work properly. I recommend buying this part from a auto store, personally myself I have bought parts online and they tend to go bad even though i have just replaced them.

  3. 2001 Honda CR-V, is very rough at idle causing engine to shake. Have replaced the air-idle control sensor, and plugs, wires, distributor and rotor. Could MAP be the problem?

    • Have you checked the motor mounts and transmission mount? If the mounts have never been replaced they are probably worn out and the engine will shake when there is no load on it.

  7. Hi ! I have Accord Hybrid EXL US 2015 and I just got today engin lights on P0107 means bad MAP SENSOR , Honestly I can’t see where is the MAP SENSOR I checked everywhere on Internet I see the gas engine Accord is very easy but on Hybrid do you know where is the MAP sensor location on Hybrid ?

  8. my car is a kia carens 2006 2,0 diesel starts fine ticks over no problem no over heating stays at normal temperature but slow to pick up speed from cold but gets better when up to temperature but still not very good no engine light on goes out as soon as engine starts up drives fine other then that no problem
